Born 1994.

Living and working in London, Michaela Yearwood-Dan's work responds to the notion that 'an artists responsibility is to reflect upon the times in which they live', thus becoming a 'Painter of Modern Life'. Depicting a variety of topics based on observations of society, the works tend to explore the themes of class, culture/race, gender and nature, all whilst remaining playful and vibrant. Working predominately with paint and collage, Yearwood-Dan's art is thick and sumptuous with references to both the origins of traditional Fine Art and pop culture; including images of late night food spots, foreign metropolises and "exotic" and "urban" aesthetics.
